Wine and our region

The hills from which Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore comes – apart from being the production zone for one of Italy’s premium products – are also the site of little towns, villages and little hamlets of great charm, full of enchanting landscapes, history, tradition, and a lively rural culture.

The Conegliano Valdobbiadene Festival invites you to immerse yourself in person in our area, discovering all of its interesting features as you sip a glass of our D.O.C.G. sparkling wine.

The Landscape of Conegliano Valdobbiadene in the Arts: a dialogue between Philippe Daverio and Gianmario Villalta

Friday 17th May, 6 p.m.; free admission

At the former Convent of San Francesco in Conegliano, the Producers’ Consortium for Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore will host a conversation between art critic Philippe Daverio and the poet and writer Gian Mario Villalta, who will talk about the subject of the local landscape in the figurative arts and in literature over the course of the centuries.
The aim of the event is to highlight the cultural, human and economic value that this landscape is still able to represent today, in its role as the theatre of everyday local life.
In the year of the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Denomination, talking about the landscape of Conegliano Valdobbiadene is a means of underlining the extent to which even a passion for working in the vineyards is inspired by the beauty of these hills that have been hand-crafted by man: nature that has been modelled by man, producing a landscape that has become an integral part of the Veneto’s cultural tradition as a whole, and that of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene area in particular.
The meeting will be introduced by Innocente Nardi, President of the Producers’ Consortium for Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore, and by Emanuela Bassetti, President and CEO of Civita Tre Venezie.
